Castle Party - How to travel by train + bus from Warsaw to Bolkow?

Hi,

I'm flying to Warsaw and I should try to find my way to Bolkow from there. I have no driver's licence, so I need to use the public transport. Do you have any tips for me? Should I try to reserve tickets beforehand, or is it enough to find the railway/bus station? What about hitchhiking - is it safe and effective in Poland?

If possible - it would be better idea to get a plane to Wroclaw, because you need to get to that city anyway, and it's about six hours by train (Warsaw-Wroclaw).. If you cannot change tickets, you can use the schedule of trains, it's also in English: http://www.pkp.pl/ (Write Warszawa Centralna in "from" and Wrocław Główny in "to" gap). As you get to Wroclaw, the bus main station is very clode to the main train station; and you can get a bus to Bolkow (any that goes to Jelenia Gora). But if you go to bolkow on thursday or friday you'll probably meet lots of people dressed in black, so you can simply join them, not only ask for help ;) You do not need to reserve tickets in advance.

When you want to go to Bolkow from Warsaw? I'm going on Wensday 25.07 by car and I have 2 free places.

arrakiss: We are also flying to Warsow Wensday 25.7.2012 and wondering if we take a train to Wroclaw or if somebody is driving a car to Bolkow. So, if there is a room for 2 in your or somebody elses car in that day to Bolkow, we would be pleased to join and pay our part for benzin :).
